Cooking Instructions:

Soup Chickens are old hens that have stopped laying their eggs. They are NOT your regular broiler chickens. These birds are perfect for making chicken broth, but are impossible to bake, fry, grill or broil. We recommend you get a large pot, put the Whole bird in, add water and simmer on a very low flame for about 24-48 hours. Of course, don't forget the veggies, root vegetables, herbs, and sea salt. Some People like to add apple cider vinegar to the broth when simmering. Happy Cooking!
