Egg Cake


Im not sure what this cake is called but it is easy to make. 



All you need is 7 eggs, 250g(1 1/4 cups) of sugar, 250g(2 cups) of flour, pinch of salt, splash of vanilla. 




Separate the whites and the yokes.  Place the whites in a mixing bowl and the yokes in a cup to the side.



Add a pinch of salt to the whites.

Start beating the whites on low speed and gradually increase until they are very foamy

Then gradually add sugar while mixing.

Then add the yokes, a dash of vanilla, and keep mixing.

(The secret is to keep mixing)

Sift the flour into the mix and keep mixing.dsc05460.jpg



Prep a foil tray with parchment paper and pour the batter into the tray. Then let it rest for ten minutes.dsc05472.jpg



Preheat the oven to 350. Degrees fahrenheit 

Let it bake for about 45 minutes.

To check if it’s done stick a toothpick in and pull it back out. If the toothpick pulls out cleanly the cake is ready.dsc05525.jpg



Let the cake cool on the counter for a few minutes. Cut it up and eat or save it for later. To prevent the cake from going stale store it in a sealed container and place it in the fridge.
