Our chicken are truly pastured!
Hello dears!
We had a question recently about our chickens, the question was if they are cage-free.
It didn't occur to me that conventional farms are still using cages.
"Cage-free" also doesn't mean much. Free-range?
Yes, they can roam freely, but at many times the poor chickens never see the sun.
Every time you see "vegetarian fed" on the egg carton, that means that chickens were never outside, they live on the concrete flours and fed vegetarian grains.
Chickens are NOT vegetarian! They love to eat bugs! Real pastured chickens will eat all the bugs they can find.
They love to scratch in the dirt. They love to bask in the sun.
Our chickens are very much loved and live in awesome natural environment. They are roaming freely! That is why pastured chickens will be a little more chewy. Their feed is supplemented with organically grown feed, grown on the same or neighboring farm. They love scraps too! All of the veggie kitchen scraps - they would absolutely love that.
Honestly, the chickens on our farms have much better life than a lot of humans.
They are being raised with respect and love.

The freezers are full with top quality pastured grass fed meats - bison, beef, chicken, pork, and some limited lamb.
The meat is deeply frozen, and in the coolers in our refrigerator vans. It should be cold enough, but as the weather warms up, please let us know if you are not home soon enough after delivery. Leave a cooler with ice packs/ice - and we'll drop of your package with there. If it's not possible, please let us know and we'll pack an ice pack with your order. Please return clean ice packs to us. Earth Day is EVRY DAY! Let's not create more waste. Yes, we can reuse all those fancy subscription meals delivered to you packaging :)

Organic Fuji Apples - not local, but from our co-op in Chile. It will take some time before we'll see local apples again.
We have Alaskan Rockfish - white fish, with a mild flavor.
And Coho Salmon filets.
All of our fish is from a small PA based business. All are sustainably wild caught.
