Happy Chanukah! To Health!
Hello dear friends!
Happy Chanukah! May we all see the biggest miracles this season! May the Light be with us!
May we all be healthy, happy and prosperous!
Eating nourishing clean food should not be science. It's winter, so what should we eat?
Soups are great, you can make chicken or bone broth and drink it as is (do try a cup in the morning, sometimes it's much better than coffee), or add a bit of veggies and have a great warming soup. We can make stews and roasts. I love making stir fry, it's easy and fast. Variety of winter squashes - so easy - just roast it. Zucchini "noodles" are perfect alternative to watch those carbs (try it in your broth too).
What's your favorite breakfast? We often skip breakfast, and eat brunch/lunch instead. Pastured eggs - perfect! Add bacon, some butter. Or you make a hearty bowl of oatmeal. Try it with a bit of butter, milk or kefir, add a bit of real maple syrup or honey. Or your make it savory! Cottage cheese/tvorog - great breakfast or snack. Yogurts. Sometimes, a slice of real sourdough bread with some real butter - that's all we need. We also often make eggs for dinner, nothing wrong with that!
We don't have many fresh fruits or veggies here in PA during winter, but fermented veggies are delicious and very important for our biome. Try to add it to your plate, also good with scrambled eggs. Or just as side dish for steaks.
Long Winter nights can be challenging, with all that sugar cravings... Yogurt, honey, maple syrup - still sugar, but at least with some other good nutrients...
Don't forget clean water! Exercise - find something that moves you, make it as your routine. If you have a gym membership - use it! Use that steam room and sauna, add a few drops of essential oil, breathe in - it's a mini vacation, every time. SO good for your skin too!
Count your blessings! Seriously, it's the highest vibration, your life will change, try it for a week if it's still not your regular regime. You will appreciate every little thing, that boring deadly routine will be gone, you will look at life with a fresh and grateful perspective...
Make peace with your mind. Calm your mind... Breath in and out... NOW that is all we have...
Listen to your favorite music. Read books. Light candles. Go for a walk. Admire all that naked trees ( aren't they beautiful?). Write. Talk to your friends and neighbors. Do something nice for strangers. Go dancing. Meditate.
Please take of yourself! Stay happy and healthy! Have a wonderful weekend and a peaceful week!
Remember to get a jar of Elderberry syrup! :)
