Do you love picnics as much as we do?

Hello beautiful souls!

The Summer is gone for good, and we are now into the most incredible season of colors.

Low humidity, cooler weather, crisp air, and soon to be surrounded by an incredible autumn palette.

Take this opportunity to celebrate it all by having a beautiful and nourishing picnic.

There is something satisfying  in picnics.

It's super simple, requires minimum preparation (although, nobody is stopping you from making it super special and extravagant), it's a soul warming event.

So, what would you need for your Fall Picnic?

We've got you, breathe :)

First of all, you would need to think of a spot.

Don't think too much, and just get out of the house, your local park would work.

Then, think of the special people that you would like to see on your picnic blanket :)

Make it a romantic date, or a family outing. Perfect opportunity to invite friends too. Ask kids if they would like to see their friends. Include them into prep with excitement. Little simple sandwiches and some cookies will help.

Yes, we need a blanket. Something to seat on. Inflatable cushions are great. Don't worry if you don't have that. Pillows would do too, but just a blanket is enough.

Do bring some cozy throws, it might be cool.

Ladies, perfect use for your pashminas. Gents, hint - perfect practical gift. You are welcome :)

Now, let's talk about food. Keep it simple.

Anything goes, really, but let's make it soul warming and nutritious too.

What can be better than local organic food that is in season?

Heirloom tomatoes, sweet peppers, cheeses, feta, a loaf of sourdough bread. Butter. Pears, apples.

We love liver pate - requires some prep, but easy. Goes great on some cut veggies for a low carb style, or crackers, bread too.

We also love steamed beets with feta, olive oil and apple cider vinegar, a bit of walnuts makes it perfect.

Roasted chicken - something primal about that, to eat meat outside, on the blanket. Hint - Chicken Drumsticks are on still on sale. Enjoy!

Warm drink is a must! Bring a thermos with your favorites. Tea/coffee is always a good idea, but ...

Apple Cider is a must! Warm it up at home with some added cinnamon.

Or to make a toast - spike it up with some good Hot Toddy.

Cookies and hot chocolate would be very appreciated too.

The most important part - be in the moment. Inhale that crisp air, bask in the sun. Involve all of the senses. Exhale gratitude. Making memories.

My favorite childhood memories are being outside, having picnics in my favorite park - Mariinskyi Palace in Kiev. So grateful for my parents for that!

Please tell us about your favorite picnics. Do you remember having picnics in your childhood? Please share!

Please be mindful and support small business in any way you possibly can. Thank you!
