Hello dears!

This week, our 10 year old went to the farms to pick up all the goodies. 

It was not the first time of course, but first time shadowing John and being 'an active part of the business"

He loved it! Seeing the animals, talking to the farmers. I'm so grateful for this opportunity, it teaches him to respect and appreciate good food even more. We are planning  some field trips in the near future. It's so important to make a connection, especially for the kids. Understanding why it is important to support local organic farmers. Making sure that the animals are raised with lots of care and respect. It is not glorified reality! Lev came back saying that it must be very difficult to be a farmer. Something switched in his mind, and now he is becoming an organic food supporter and animal advocate. From time to time, he would ask to eat at fast food joints, and couldn't understand why I would not allow it. Now he is asking questions about the food that sees in supermarkets. Unfortunately, the truth is upsetting him, but he is a super advocate of NowFarms and great small family farmers! We need more kids understanding the difference!
